Our house has a long history, it was built in the XVIIIth century. A painting on one of its walls can witness this fact: it is dated on September 17th 1781. The house was occupied by local farmers until its renovation in the sixties, when it was bought by a family from Locarno to spend their holidays and enjoy the clean air of Sonogno. The owner getting older, the house was more and more often empty and less used. I was very happy when I heard in 1997 that the house was for sale. It is with great pleasur that I share the beauty of my hometown with my children, my aquaintances and my friends for many stays of various length in this great house.
As a family, we have done various renovations that were necessary in order to make the house more comfortable in respect of its history (the hardwood floor of the 3rd floor is the original one, sawed by hand in the town).
